Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapy team consists of several knowledgeable and experienced Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants. Our therapists tend to ‘think outside the box’ in order to assist their patients in achieving their own individualized goals. These goals are specific to each individual patient, but may include increasing strength, learning how to complete normal tasks such as dressing with modification or specialized equipment, vision training, assessing the safety of your home so you can return to live there safely, and much, much more. Our OT staff use an abundance of techniques, approaches, and adaptive equipment from our ‘toolbox’ or treatment interventions to help you achieve your goals. You can meet and work with one of our OTs in numerous locations around central South Dakota. Occupational therapy focuses on, but is not limited to the following conditions/injuries:
  • Upper extremity injuries (shoulder, arm, hand)
  • Post-operative or post-hospital rehabilitation
  • Upper extremity range of motion and/or strength training
  • Chronic pain
  • Neurological conditions
  • Arthritis
  • Decrease in independence with normal daily tasks
  • Driver's Rehabilitation
